Speaking Our Stories.

‘Speaking Our Stories’ uses storytelling and performance to acknowledge the challenges and the achievements of CNWL NHS Foundation Trust staff, during the Covid response and is accompanied by a series of online tools.

‘Wake The Beast’ artists conducted interviews with 50+ CNWL NHS Foundation Trust staff about their experiences during the Covid response.

 

'Wake The Beast' then collated material to develop powerful short verbatim films.

These films are currently being used by CNWL staff as part of their staff support activities. We created 10 short films, a few examples are below.

SPEAKING OUR STORIES charts the path of NHS staff as they navigating the personal, professional and political ramifications of a once on a generation global pandemic. A moving, humerous and visually arresting recognition of staff contributions from one of the UK's busiest mental health Trusts.

THE SIMPLE THINGS. During lockdown the Grenfell Public Enquiry paused leaving relatives waiting for answers. Dedicated support workers did what they could to support. Sometime it's the simple things that have the biggest impact.
