about.
Our Mission.
We believe that every human is creative and has a story to tell!
Our mission is to spark that creativity by helping to wake the beast within and give it a platform to be heard.
We do this by creating quality theatrical experiences that are truthful, relevant and disruptive and can make change feel possible….
bravely, boldly, beastly.
WHO WE ARE.
Wake The Beast creates contemporary theatrical events and experiences that are playful, political and important. We bring wild, irreverent and unexpected adventures to new places, spaces and faces.
Collaboration is at the heart of our work. We are part of a network of artists, activists and communities locally, nationally and internationally who challenge important social issues through theatre.
This beastly congregation aims to ensure each event belongs to audiences, participants and contributors equally, with each having a stake in the subject and outcome.
Circus . immersive theatre . Irish dancing . the spoons . magic . new writing . song . the tin whistle . drag . spectacle . comedy . karaoke . puppetry . dance . rhythm...are just some of the weapons we use in our work.
